Our new 5on5 Futsal (1st-6th grades) league debuts for the Summer 2021 season!
Each team should have at least 8 players and no more than 10. Special requests can be made to the Program Manager, Travis Golden, at email@example.com.
Gameplay: Futsal is a fast paced, small-sided indoor soccer game (5V5), played on our gym floor with a smaller, low-bounce ball. Cleats are not allowed on the gym floor! Indoor soccer shoes or tennis shoes, and shin guards are required. Each team will play with 4 field players and a goalkeeper.
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that is played across the world and is officially recognized by both FIFA and UEFA.
Futsal places a large emphasis on technical skill in high pressure situations which can be translated into the outdoor game. The sport is a great skill developer as it demands quick reflexes, fast thinking and pin-point passing.
Futsal is played on all continents of the world, by over 100 countries, with 12 million players. Great soccer superstars such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka and Katia grew up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills.

A full refund will be given to those who make a request prior to the final registration deadline. Refunds that are requested after the final deadline must be approved by the Athletic Director and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, a $25 processing fee will be retained.
CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION:
Players should be registered for the grade level they just completed for the 2020-2021 school year.
Participants with a higher skill level or experience may "play-up" in an older division with the permission of the Program Director, Glendon Joyce (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Coach, player and school requests will be considered in team formation. Please be sure to note your requests on the registration form. We do our best to accommodate requests, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to honor all requests. If you do not have a team request, WAYA will place you on a team.
Pre-formed teams are welcome! All players must register individually. Coaches should email a complete roster to program manager Travis Golden at email@example.com. If a pre-formed team is playing up, ALL players must register for the correct division.
**WAYA reserves the right to add players to or split up pre-formed teams if necessary (not enough or too many players).
