Welcome to My Coding Place!
My Coding Place is a locally-owned small business with a mission to promote STEM education and innovation, specifically focusing on technology and coding. Their goal is to empower the next generation to develop critical thinking skills, engaging them in creative activities to inspire curiosity and confidence. By providing inclusive opportunities, their program aims to bring technology and coding to various communities to prepare all students to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological world.
MCP fosters critical thinking through live instruction in small engaging classes. Their instructors are trained in coding and can be found teaching all ages at the MCP studio, community centers and local schools. The MCP coding studio in North Central Austin offers regular classes and camps on various technology and coding topics, including game development and robotics, plus they have a 3D printer for students to create cool gadgets.
MCP also sells the robots and drones that they use in camps. Unlike other coding schools, MCP also teaches digital art, chess, and more! Learn more at www.mycodingplace.com or call 512-593-2729! They would love to meet you and your student and look forward to inspiring the next generation of innovators!
Eligibility
The minimum age for enrollment in MCP camps is age 7 for tech and coding camps due to reading and typing skills. For other topics, they have considered lower ages on a case-by-case basis but generally have the same minimum. Students may be grouped by age or ability.
Equipment
MCP will provide laptops and mice for coding and technology camps, and each student will work on their own laptop. For chess camps, they will provide chess sets with a ratio of one set for every two students.
