INTRODUCTION TO THE GAME
This training is designed to introduce the player to the game. Athletes are trained with a player to coach ratio of no more than 15:1. This training focuses on body movement and skill development. Body control and coordination build a strong foundation for future volleyball training. Creating good habits at an early age is imperative for the sport of volleyball. Athletes will learn basic fundamentals of athleticism such as throwing, lateral movements, quick feet, core strength, and jumping. This will allow athletes build upon their independent skill, as we start to introduce positions and how the team system works.
