WAYA Flag Football, presented by Neighborhood Sports, is the premier NFL Youth Flag Football recreational league for boys and girls grade PreK-8th. This league is an official program of the NFL and is sanctioned by USA football, the sport’s national governing body. 

WAYA Flag Football, presented by Neighborhood Sports, provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork. CANCELLATION POLICY:
A full refund will be given to those who make a request prior to the final registration deadline August 18th. Refunds that are requested after the final deadline must be approved by the Athletic Director and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, a $50 processing fee will be retained. In the event of a full-season cancelation, refunds will be given less the $50 processing fee. If a cancelation occurs mid-season, refunds will be prorated based on how many weeks were completed. 

CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION:
Players should be registered for their current grade level for the 2023-2024 school year.

PLAYING UP:
Participants with a higher skill level or experience may "play-up" in an older division with the permission of the Athletic Director, Eric Bowers (ebowers@waya.org).

EARLYBIRD DEADLINE: Friday, July 7th
(Members $165/ Nonmembers $265)

FINAL DEADLINE or earlier if the division becomes full: Friday, August 18th

Preseason Coach Meeting: August 24th, 2023 @ 6pm

Coaches are required to meet with the WAYA Athletic Team prior to start of the season. A coaches meeting will be scheduled for approximately 2-3 weeks before the first game. A background check and some additional paperwork will also be required to coach with WAYA.

Neighborhood Sports is the premier NFL Youth Flag Football League for boys and girls ages 4-14.  Players of all skill levels, play in a quality, non-contact league, where HAVING FUN while competing is the #1 GOAL. You may register as an individual or as a preformed team.

GAME LOCATION Chalmers Field (1200 W. Cesar Chavez, next to McEachern Field) *some games may be played at other Austin locations

PURCHASE YOUR OWN MOUTH GUARD, CLEATS & SOCKS 


Register individually, with friends, or as a team. If registering as a preformed team, players must still register individually.

TEAM FORMATION:

Preformed teams are welcome. Coach/player/school requests will be considered in team formation. Please be sure to note your requests in your registration. We do not guarantee requests but will make every effort to fulfill as many as possible.

 

*Preformed teams: players must register individually. Coaches should email a complete roster to Program Director, Hector Santiago, at hsantiago@neighborhoodsports.us. If a preformed team is playing up, ALL players must register for the correct division. The program director reserves the right to add players to preformed teams if needed.



FINANCIAL AID POLICY: To obtain financial assistance, please complete the financial assistance form and email to Athletic Director, Eric Bowers, at ebowers@waya.org. With this request you must include proof of financial need in the form of a tax return or other proof of annual income.
