LATE FALL 3on3 BASKETBALL
3rd - 8th grade

TEAM SIZE:

Each team should have at least five players to account for absences or injuries and teams are maxed out at six players. Special requests for more players can be made to the Assistant Athletic Director, Laney Ramirez (lramirez@waya.org). Need team mates? Use WAYA's Team Mate Finder below!

TEAM FORMATION:
Preformed teams are welcomed, but not required. If you have a full or partial team, all players must register individually and indicate other members of their team on the registration form. Team parents should email preformed rosters to the Assistant Athletic Director, Laney Ramirez (lramirez@waya.org).

**WAYA reserves the right to add players to preformed teams if needed for league balance. 

CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION:

Players should be registered for their current grade level for the 2023-2024 school year.

PRACTICES: 

*There will be NO scheduled practices for the 3on3 Late Fall League.
*There will be NO coaches in this league. Team parents only!
 

GAME PLAY: 

Each team will play two back-to-back games in a half-court format with one referee per court. During the first half hour, teams will play three games (first team to 10 points, or 5 minutes for each game) vs. one opponent. Teams then switch opponents and play another three games in the last half hour. Each game lasts approximately seven minutes, with one-minute breaks in between. Coaching is not allowed from the sidelines and parents are not allowed on the player benches. Players make their own substitutions during any dead ball.

PLAYING UP:

Participants with a higher skill level or experience may "play-up" in an older division with the permission of the WAYA Athletic Director. If an entire team is playing up, all players must register for the appropriate division. Please contact Athletic Director, Eric Bowers (ebowers@waya.org) for permission to play up.

FINANCIAL AID POLICY:

To obtain financial assistance, please complete WAYA's Financial Aid Request Form. With this request you must include proof of financial need in the form of a tax return or other proof of annual income.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

A full refund will be given to those who make a request prior to the final registration deadline (October 7th). Refunds that are requested after the final deadline must be approved by the Athletic Director and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, a $50 processing fee will be retained. In the event of a full-season cancellation, refunds will be given less the $50 processing fee. If a cancellation occurs mid-season, refunds will be prorated based on how many weeks were completed.
