Spring Volleyball Game Schedules

Spring Volleyball schedules will be available before the first practice.

• Junior 3 Division: Wednesdays
• Junior 4 Division: Wednesdays
• Senior Division: Thursdays
• Super Senior Division: Sundays
  

TEAM FORMATION

A mandatory skills assessment will be held for all divisions.  These dates are tentative and subject to change:

Junior 3 Division - Sunday, February 28 -- 1:30pm
Junior 4 Division - Sunday, February 28 -- 2:30pm
Senior Division - Sunday, February 28
Last name beginning with A-M -- 3:30pm
Last name beginning with N-Z -- 4:30pm

Requests will be considered in team formation. Please be sure to note your request on the registration form. This in no way guarantees that WAYA will be able to fulfill your request.  There will be no more than 10 players on each team. 

SEASON AND SCHEDULE

Practices will begin on March 8, 2010. Practice times are coordinated by the team coach. Games will begin on March 30, 2010. The season will conclude with a single elimination tournament. All games and practices will be held at the WAYA complex, located at 1314 Exposition Blvd.
*Super Senior Division may not form a league due to low participant numbers. A skills and drill practice time will be allocated for interested 7th & 8th graders.

RULES

United States of America Volleyball (USAV) rules will be followed and enforced with special serving rules at the Junior and Senior level.

Scholarship Policy

The West Austin Youth Association offers every child the opportunity to participate regardless of skill level, talent or financial need. Scholarships are available for each sport and program that WAYA offers. To obtain a scholarship, you must complete the registration form for the sport or program, complete a scholarship request form and return them both to WAYA prior to the registration deadline. All scholarship requests made prior to the registration deadline will be honored; there will be no scholarships given to requests made after the registration deadline. Once the registration deadline has passed, WAYA will contact scholarship participants to notify them of their scholarship amount. Scholarship money is allocated at the beginning of each fiscal year and the amount awarded is based upon the number of requests made per sport.
