Any registrations submitted after closing of business (9:00pm) on this date will be subject to a $25 late fee.

Cost

  • Members: $100
  • Non-members: $175
 

Eligible Participants

Anyone in grades 3 through 12.

 

Age Divisions

  • Junior Division - 3rd and 4th graders
  • Senior Division - 5th and 6th graders
  • Super Senior Division - 7th and 8th graders
  • High School Division - 9th through 12th grade
 
 

Season

Practices will begin the week of March 22, 2010 and will be held on weekdays. Games will begin Saturday April 3, 2010 and will be played on weekends. All games will be held at the WAYA complex at 1314 Exposition Blvd.

**There will be no practices for the High School division. The High School division will only play games. High School teams must have a parent/coach on the bench for each game.

 

Team Formation

Teams will be formed by WAYA staff and basketball commissioners. Special attention will be given to requests, school core groups and zip codes. Please be sure to list your requests on your registration form. WAYA will make every effort to fulfill your requests, but this does not guarantee all requests will be filled!

 

Scholarship Policy

The West Austin Youth Association offers every child the opportunity to participate regardless of skill level, talent or financial need. Scholarships are available for each sport and program that WAYA offers. To obtain a scholarship, you must complete the registration form for the sport or program, complete a scholarship request form and return them both to WAYA prior to the registration deadline. All scholarship requests made prior to the registration deadline will be honored; there will be no scholarships given to requests made after the registration deadline. Once the registration deadline has passed, WAYA will contact scholarship participants to notify them of their scholarship amount. Scholarship money is allocated at the beginning of each fiscal year and the amount awarded is based upon the number of requests made per sport.
